What will be your daily pursuit?
The Construction Project Manager will oversee the planning, execution, and completion of hospitality construction projects, including food & beverage outlets, hotels, and attractions. This role involves coordinating with architects, engineers, contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

What will you do in this job?

  1. Perform due diligence on proposed projects and collaborate with internal stakeholders for corporate approvals.
  2. Create and manage Request for Proposals (RFP) for design teams and contractors.
  3. Oversee project planning, including scope, budget, timelines, and resource allocation.
  4. Lead and coordinate project teams, ensuring smooth collaboration with architects, engineers, and contractors.
  5. Manage budgets effectively, control costs, and present regular financial reports to senior management.
  6. Track project schedules, monitor progress, and adjust as needed to meet deadlines.
  7. Ensure quality standards by conducting site inspections and resolving issues promptly.
  8. Identify and mitigate risks, proactively addressing challenges during construction.
  9. Serve as the main point of contact for all internal & external project-related communications.
  10. Oversee procurement, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor relationships.
  11. Ensure compliance with provincial and national park regulations, including health and safety standards.

What skills and experience do you need for this job?

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction project management, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Experience working with projects in National Parks is preferred.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex construction projects from inception to completion.
  • Overnight travel will be required several times per month.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and regulations.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management abilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, AutoCAD).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

What will your work environment be like?
This position can be based in Jasper or surrounding area, with the requirement to be on-site in Jasper weekly to supervise projects. This is a one-year contract with the potential for extension.
