Responsibilities
- Build and maintain connections with vendors, looking for and assessing new ones when needed;
- Stay in close contact with suppliers to negotiate agreements that are affordable and guarantee a consistent supply of in-demand goods.
- Build and develop the sourcing strategy, identify possible suppliers, generate related reports, negotiate terms and conditions of the contract, and finish all project/procurement paperwork
- Collaborate with various departments to enable the delivery of solutions that support the company's goals and priorities
- Work together with both internal and external partners to successfully handle supply agreement handoffs in order to guarantee the project's success as a whole
- Apply project management and prioritization techniques to efficiently plan tasks and reliably complete related initiatives
- Utilize tools linked to procurement to carry out duties
- Manage stakeholder communication, requisitions, Q&A documentation/distribution, evaluation, reference calls, inventory operations and vendor briefings
- Track and manage purchase orders, delivery schedules for pickups and deliveries, and system reconciliation
- Utilize and manage the Fenestration system to anticipate product demands, manage purchase orders, and monitor inventory levels.
Skills & Requirements
- Minimum 2-5 years of relevant experience in procurement/inventory management, strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, contract drafting, competitive price analysis, and supplier performance management or a similar role
- Proven ability to work with minimal supervision, possesses self-starter qualities to work independently as well as collaboratively
- Manage to work under pressure and with time sensitive deadlines
- Proficient in using systems for inventory and procurement management along with MS Office applications
- Ability to prioritize several concurrent tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong project management skills with ability to organize, control and coordinate a variety of activities
- Exceptional negotiation and relationship management skills
