Purchasing/Shipping Assistant

Williams Lake, British Columbia

Our Purchasing/Shipping Assistant oversees activities in the shipping process for our mill and maintains purchasing system accuracy. They are responsible for ensuring timely product delivery, resolving logistics issues, managing cycle counts, sourcing, inventory reduction initiatives, and daily material and service placement. We’re hiring a Purchasing/Shipping Assistant at the Lakeview Division in Williams Lake, BC. Our division produces over 230 million board feet of lumber annually for customers worldwide, supporting building homes and communities. Ideal candidates will have:

• High School Diploma or Grade 12 Certificate
• Comfort with computers and learning new software
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Organized and detail-oriented
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Creative problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with mill equipment (preferred)
• Experience in wood products manufacturing (preferred)
