Job summary

VJ SUPPLIES is seeking a purchasing and operations lead to oversee projects across purchasing and warehouse teams. You will coordinate buying, selling and distribution activities, evaluate daily operations, and manage budgets to ensure efficient material flow within the organization.

The role requires a college certificate or diploma (3 months to <1 year) and 2–3 years of related experience. This is an on-site position in British Columbia with no remote work option.

Qualifications

• College certificate or diploma in a related field (3 months to <1 year).
• 2–3 years of experience in purchasing, supply chain or warehouse management preferred.
• On-site position based in British Columbia; no remote work option.

• Assign projects and programs to the purchasing and warehouse departments across the organization
• Coordinate activities of personnel engaged in buying, selling and distributing materials, equipment, machinery and supplies
• Evaluate daily operations
• Plan and control budget and expenditures
• Plan and organize daily operations
• Review purchase order claims and contracts to determine compliance with company policy
• Hire, train, direct and motivate staff
• Plan, develop and implement purchasing policies and procedures
• Oversee the evaluation of the cost and quality of goods or services
• Authorize the development of specifications for products or services
• Manage contracts
• Review and process claims against suppliers
• Oversee the analysis of data and information
• Oversee the preparation of reports
• Advise senior management
• Organize and maintain inventory
