PTW is hiring a Purchaser to join our team in Calgary, AB. This role reports to the Procurement Manager and involves working with our Procurement Team to procure materials for PTW's Electric & Controls divisions across Western Canada.

A Day in the Life

1. Complete material requisitions and purchase orders, including material returns as required.
2. Coordinate material delivery notes with the project team.
3. Negotiate pricing requests for medium to large construction projects.
4. Monitor purchase orders and expedite deliveries when delays occur.
5. Ensure purchase orders and quotations meet material specifications and delivery requirements.
6. Investigate and resolve PO pricing discrepancies, including closeout procedures.
7. Participate in team meetings and contribute insights.
8. Provide purchasing KPIs and reports as needed.
9. Stay updated on new product options and supply resources.
10. Evaluate and advise management on ongoing vendor issues.

Experience Requirements

1. 6-8 years of experience in the wholesale industry.
2. Preference for candidates with oil & gas electrical and instrumentation experience.
3. SCMP, College, or equivalent degree/certification in Purchasing is an asset.
4. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
5. Thorough understanding of procurement processes.
6. Intermediate Microsoft 365 skills (Word, Excel, OneDrive, Teams).
7. ERP experience is an asset.
8. Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
9. Detail-oriented and accurate.
