In this role, the Manufacturing Pump Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily production operations to ensure manufacturing processes run efficiently, safely, and in alignment with quality standards. The role supervises production employees, coordinates workflow, monitors productivity, and drives continuous improvement initiatives to achieve operational targets.

Key Accountabilities
Production Operations Management
  • Supervise and coordinate daily manufacturing activities and production staff to ensure smooth operations.
  • Ensure production schedules are met while maintaining safety, quality, and efficiency standards.
  • Conduct shift meetings and communicate production objectives, priorities, and updates.
  • Monitor workflow and adjust resources as required to meet operational demands.
Team Leadership & Development
  • Monitor employee performance, attendance, and productivity.
  • Train, coach, and develop production team members to improve capability and engagement.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Support performance management and provide feedback to employees in alignment with company standards.
Quality, Safety & Compliance
  • Enforce company policies, procedures, and workplace safety regulations.
  • Support compliance with regulatory and industry standards.
  • Investigate and resolve production issues, equipment problems, and quality concerns in collaboration with relevant functions.
  • Ensure adherence to quality systems and safe work practices across all production activities.
Continuous Improvement & Performance Monitoring
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Analyze production data and prepare reports on key performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with maintenance, quality assurance, engineering, and supply chain teams to resolve operational issues.
  • Manage inventory usage and ensure proper material handling practices.
What We’re Looking For

To thrive in this role, you should bring:

Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations Management, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of manufacturing experience, including supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality systems, and safety regulations.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies is an asset.
Technical Skills
  • Proficiency in production management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to analyze production data and interpret operational performance metrics.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing workflows, scheduling, and inventory management.
