Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is seeking a Pump Assembler at our Stoney Creek, Ontario facility. You will assemble pumps and sub-assemblies, working across multiple plant areas while adhering to ISO and quality procedures.

A strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on tool experience help you thrive in this role. You will troubleshoot and repair customer rebuilds, contributing to high-quality, reliable pump systems for diverse industries.

Qualifications

• Good mechanical aptitude is essential.
• General labour, production, and/or assembly experience is an asset.
• Knowledge of pump build procedures and part production is an asset.
• Experience with die-grinders, belt sanders, disc-grinders, and other hand tools is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Assemble pumps and sub-assemblies in a diverse manufacturing environment.
• Work in other areas of the plant while following ISO and quality procedures.
• Troubleshoot and repair rebuilds brought in by customers.
• Ensure a quality product goes out the door.

Job Overview

You have natural mechanical aptitude and like working with tools. You’re naturally curious about how things work and take pride in a well-done job. We’re Fruitland Manufacturing, a vacuum pump manufacturer specializing in truck and trailer-mounted vacuum pumps and systems. Our vacuum pumps can be found in agriculture, waste management, oil and gas, and many other industries. Due to growing demand for our components, we’re searching for a new, long-term assembly technician to join us.

Responsibilities

Your role will be to work in a diverse manufacturing environment completing tasks like assembling pumps and sub-assemblies as well as working in other areas of the plant while complying with ISO and quality procedures. Troubleshooting and repairing any rebuilds brought in by customers give added variety to the job.

You’ll do well in this role if you possess:

• Mechanical aptitude – you love working with parts, machinery, and tools.
• Resourcefulness – you know that there’s more than one way to a solution, and keep trying when you hit a roadblock.
• Attention to detail – you’re conscientious, with an eagle eye for detail. You ensure a quality product goes out the door.
