Responsibilities

• Performs pulmonary function procedures including spirometry and lung volume determination
• Conducts cardiopulmonary exercise studies
• Completes testing documents and records
• Assists in the monitoring of pulmonary function and stress testing equipment
• Provides related orientation and training for the department
• Participates in quality assurance programs
• Assists in evaluating and selecting new equipment
• Provides clinical instruction to students during rotations

Physical ability to perform the duties of the position

Education

Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program

Successful completion of the Canadian Board of Respiratory Care credentialing exam

Eligible for membership with the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists (CSRT)

Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Level C

One year's recent related experience in an accredited level three pulmonary function lab
