Job summary

ABmunis in Drayton Valley is seeking a hands‑on leader to guide our Public Works and Parks team. You’ll plan the work, support your crew, manage the department budget, and work with other departments to keep our town safe and well kept.

Lead, coach and schedule the team; plan maintenance and projects; oversee capital projects and contractors on site; foster a safety‑first culture with the Safety department; and keep residents informed by reporting to senior leadership and Council.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in municipal or public works operations.
• 3+ years supervising staff in a unionized environment.
• Post-secondary education in a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Working knowledge of heavy equipment, fleet and small engines.
• Strong organizational skills and a valid driver's licence.

Roads, sidewalks, sewer and storm systems, parks, trails, rinks and the cemetery are all things our residents use every day. We're looking for a hands‑on leader to guide our Public Works and Parks team in caring for them.
