Requirements
- Education: secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Student status: full time enrollment or part time enrollment.
- Experience: Power mowers, lawn mowers. Experience an asset.
- Equipment and machinery experience: Power mowers, lawn mowers.
- Criminal record check. Driving record check (abstract).
- Valid driver's licence.
- Physical: bend, crouch, kneel; sit, stand, walk; physically demanding; repetitive tasks; weight handling up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
- Own tools: steel-toed safety boots.
- Personal suitability: client focus, dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, flexibility, judgement, team player.
Work Environment
- Dusty, hot, noisy, odours, outdoors, wet/damp.
- Municipal government, rural area, various locations, park and recreation sites.
- Task: clean and maintain sidewalks, streets, roads, public grounds; assist equipment operators; routine maintenance and repair; load/unload trucks; sweep debris and snow; cut grass.
