Job summary

The Township of Lanark Highlands is seeking four (4) Temporary Full-Time Public Works Equipment Operators to join the Public Works team. The position requires a current DZ license and experience operating heavy equipment for road maintenance.

Shifts may include days, evenings, and weekends, depending on operations. Responsibilities include operating snowplows, graders and backhoes, performing equipment repairs, maintaining tools and garages, and keeping incident logs.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid DZ license.
• Experience operating heavy equipment such as snowplows, graders and backhoes is preferred.
• Knowledge of road maintenance and general labour duties.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment including snowplows, graders, and backhoes.
• Perform repairs/maintenance of equipment.
• Maintain and clean garages, tools and storerooms.
• Maintain an incident report register.
• Perform road maintenance.
• Carry out general labour duties.

Hourly Range: $25.53 - $31.65
(Depending on Experience)

The Township is seeking applicants for four (4) Temporary Full-Time Public Works Equipment Operators. This position may require working a variety of shifts including days, evenings & weekends.

Reporting to the Public Works Manager and Public Works Operation Supervisor, the Equipment Operator is required to have a current DZ license for this position and have the knowledge of operating heavy equipment and road maintenance.

• Operating heavy equipment including snowplows, graders, and backhoes
• Repairs/maintenance of equipment
• Maintaining & cleaning the garages, tools and storerooms
• Maintaining an incident report register
• Performing road maintenance
• General labour duties
