Security Officer at Harrington Memorial Hospital

Exemption Status: Non-Exempt

Schedule Details: Monday through Friday

Scheduled Hours: 0700-1500

Shift: 1 - Day Shift, 8 Hours (United States of America)

Hours: 40

Cost Center: 25082 - 5170 Public Safety

Job Responsibilities
  1. Provide security for the safety and protection of patients, staff, the general public, and property.
  2. Patrol buildings and grounds periodically.
  3. Examine doors, windows, and entry points to ensure security; record and tag unsecured points.
  4. Warn violators of infractions such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden items; apprehend or expel suspicious or criminal persons.
  5. Report irregularities like fire hazards or unlocked doors.
  6. Observe departing personnel to prevent theft.
  7. Record incidents, property damage, and suspicious activities.
  8. Assist local authorities with investigations.
  9. Report criminal acts to supervisors or authorities.
  10. Support hospital staff in ensuring safety.
  11. Follow all security orders and protocols.
Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or GED required.
