Responsibilities

• Provide security for the safety and protection of Harrington Memorial Hospital's patients, staff, the public, and property.
• Patrol buildings and grounds periodically.
• Examine doors, windows, and entry points to ensure security; record any unsecured points.
• Warn violators of infractions, such as loitering or smoking, and apprehend or expel suspicious or criminal individuals.
• Monitor for hazards like fire risks and report irregularities.
• Observe departing personnel to prevent theft.
• Record data on property damage, incidents, and suspicious activities.
• Assist local authorities with investigations.
• Report criminal acts to supervisors or authorities.
• Support hospital staff in providing protection and safety.
• Follow all orders from supervisors.

Minimum Requirements

• Three years of related experience or training in military, fire, or police/public safety.
• High school diploma or GED.
