Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of proven experience in PR in Canada.
  • At least two years within a PR agency environment.
  • Proven relationships with local, regional, and national media.
  • Exceptional writing, listening and communication skills.

  • Developing and executing media relations and social media strategies that deliver impact and results.
  • Writing compelling communications materials for a wide range of audiences.
  • Planning and executing experiential and educational events.
  • Conducting research, measurement, monitoring and program reporting.
  • Managing programs and workflow in a team environment.
  • Providing administrative support, ensuring timely and accurate tracking of campaign expenses.

Job description

Our Toronto team is looking for a Junior Consultant who wants to take control of their career in communications. Someone who understands and has connections with Canadian media and is aware of current news and trends, who is independent, thinks for themselves and has a passion for the learning.

Key Responsibilities

The Junior Consultant will be involved in both corporate and consumer PR and marketing communications projects, which will include:

  • Participating in strategic planning and development of creative concepts and campaigns for our clients.
  • Developing and executing impactful media relations and social media strategies that deliver impact and results.
  • Writing compelling communications materials for a wide range of internal and external audiences.
  • Planning and executing experiential and educational events.
  • Conducting research, measurement, monitoring and program reporting.
  • Managing programs and workflow in a team environment.
  • Providing administrative support, ensuring timely and accurate tracking of campaign expenses. This includes processing expense reports, maintaining budgets, and liaising with finance team.
Qualifications
  • 2-3 years of proven experience in PR in Canada.
  • At least two years within a PR agency environment is required – please do not apply if you do not have this qualification.
  • Proven relationships with local, regional, and national media.
  • Exceptional writing, listening and communication skills.
  • Demonstrates assertiveness and takes initiative to proactively identify and address tasks, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Able to work independently.
  • Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and complete multiple projects simultaneously, sometimes under tight deadlines.
  • University or college degree in a related field, such as Communications, Public Relations, Political Science, or Journalism in Canada.
