As a Public Health Nurse with VCH, you will:

  • Utilize public health nursing knowledge and expertise to promote and protect the health, well-being, and safety of prenatal, infants, young children, youth, adults, and families through targeted programming.
  • Provide a full range of services including prevention, health promotion, and early intervention in community-based settings, supporting population health and addressing social determinants of health with an equity-based approach.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Identify client needs and determine interventions such as screening, assessment, referral, advocacy, surveillance, education, and responding to emerging public health issues.
