Job summary

Prairie Mountain Health is seeking a Public Health Nurse to apply nursing science to promote health and prevent disease across populations. You will work with individuals, families and communities, applying harm reduction and primary health care principles.

The role requires RN licensure in Manitoba, BCLS training, and PHN experience within the last five years. A valid Manitoba Class 5 license and strong MS Office skills are essential.

Qualifications

• RN licensure eligible in Manitoba
• Current BCLS CPR Training
• Public Health Nursing experience within last five years
• Driver's license and own vehicle for Prairie Mountain Health duties
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and IT tools
• Certifications in lactation/PHC areas preferred

Responsibilities

• Apply public health nursing knowledge to promote population health.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to plan, implement and evaluate programs.
• Immunize and provide care in accordance with PHAC/PHWC guidelines.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation per regional policies.
• Demonstrate harm reduction principles and cultural safety.
