Primary Purpose

Perform duties to ensure department appearance, quality, variety, safety, and food safety are maintained at the highest standards. Support Hannaford's strategy with a strong customer service culture. Build customer relations and provide enthusiastic assistance.

Qualifications

• Effective communication, customer service, and selling skills.

• Must meet minimum age requirements.

Physical Requirements

• Lift up to 50 lb. most of the time; occasionally lift 75 lb.
• Reach shoulder level or above while lifting 30 lbs.
• Stand and walk continuously.
• Meet activity standards for the department.
• Frequent bending, reaching, grasping, and lifting produce at or above waist level.
• Use hands for feeling objects and tools for opening boxes or preparing produce.
• Handle various substances related to cleaning, packaging, and food products.
• Tolerate working in cold temperatures for up to 20 minutes.

Preferred Requirements

• Assist customers with locating and choosing products.
• Perform stocking, culling, and rotation according to guidelines.
• Prepare products (trim, crisp, package, etc.) per standards.
• Maintain cleanliness as per company policy.
• Adhere to high product quality standards.
• Achieve productivity standards.
• Develop product knowledge across the department.

• Assist in training colleagues and perform other duties as assigned.

Salary range: $15.00 - $19.65 per hour.
