Primary Objective of the Position :

Ensure the safe and timely processing of cargo, including aircraft loading and offloading within prescribed parameters.

Essential Position Functions :

• Loading and offloading aircraft and trucks.
• Operating ground support equipment.
• Repeatedly lifting packages up to 60 lbs.
• Sorting packages based on destination and other parameters.
• Communicating piece counts and package details to supervisors.
• Handling customer packages with care and attention.
• Adhering to safety and security protocols.
• Performing general housekeeping duties.
• Handling Dangerous Goods in compliance with regulations.
• Meeting tight deadlines for freight build-up and breakdown as part of a team.
• Completing required training modules (WHMIS, SMS, Dangerous Goods, Hazard Prevention, etc.).
• Working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Working in and around aircraft daily.

Minimum Qualifications :

• High School diploma or equivalent experience.
• Valid Class 5 Driver's License or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain a RAIC security clearance (Transport Canada).
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs repeatedly.
• Ability to work in a team environment and meet time-sensitive goals.
• Punctuality and good attendance habits.
• Quick learner with adaptability to changing requirements.
• Willingness to follow directions and develop within the company.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Willing to undergo background checks and security clearance.
• Willing to work outdoors.
