The service is a partnership between IWK Health, Nova Scotia Health, Hearing and Speech Nova Scotia, and Autism Nova Scotia, providing person- and family-centred services to preschoolers suspected of or diagnosed with autism. Services include clinical intake, care coordination, family and health professional education, autism diagnostic assessment, interprofessional interventions, intensive support, and transition to school assistance.
Reporting to the Clinical Manager, the Psychometrist supports the Provincial Diagnostics team with referrals, assessments, scoring, inventory, process development, training, and administering cognitive assessments. The role involves collaboration with psychologists and administrative staff, supporting the new Clinical Intake and Care Coordination Service, and ensuring efficient, integrated service delivery.
Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm; flexible hours required.
