How You Will Make a Difference

As an EAP counselor, you will provide counseling services in-person, by video, or by phone to TELUS Health EAP clients in your area, as needed. You will work as a self-employed professional based on your capacity to accept new clients.

You will provide short-term counseling services to a diverse set of clients facing various issues, according to the terms and conditions of the client’s EAP.

You will manage a varied workload, adapted to different types of clients and reasons for consultation.

You Possess
  • A Master's/Doctorate in the field of mental health and/or human relationships;
  • Hold the title of psychologist, psychotherapist, social worker, psychoeducator, or sexologist;
  • Be a member in good standing with your professional order in Quebec;
  • A minimum of 5 years of clinical experience;
  • Post-graduate experience in counseling diverse populations;
  • The ability to set short-term goals and use a solution-focused approach;
  • The ability to clinically manage high-risk cases, including clients who pose a threat to themselves or others;
  • A good knowledge of community resources.
