Company Description

Integra Skills Counselling is an Ontario-based clinic that offers both in-person and virtual therapy sessions. We are a growing clinic with locations in both Cobourg and Burlington. We focus on helping clients with day-to-day challenges, relationship issues, depression, anxiety, and overall well-being and provide child and youth, individual, couples, and family counselling.

Role Description

This is a contract role for a Psychologist, Psychotherapist, or Social Worker. We are hoping for someone local to either Cobourg or Burlington who can offer therapy in person and remotely for people struggling with sports related mental health challenges, such as:

  • Performance anxiety
  • low self esteem
  • Motivation issues
  • Concentration and focus
  • Setting up good habits
  • Interpersonal issues with team members or coaches

Special consideration will be given to applicants who are members of the Canadian Sports Psychology Association

Qualifications needed for this position

  • Skills in Psychology, Mental Health, and Counseling
  • Knowledge of Medicine and its connection to mental health is a plus
  • Experience working with athletes or knowledge of sports psychology is beneficial
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Valid license to practice in Ontario
  • A Masters (or equivalent) in Social Work, Psychotherapy or Psychology
  • Registration, and in good standing, with your regulatory College
  • Willingness to have session openings for least one evening per week, and one weekend day each month
  • Professional liability insurance (Minimum $2M)
  • Access to a laptop, cell phone and sufficient internet access that can be used for virtual sessions and correspondences with clients.
