St. Clement's School is seeking a Psychologist/Psychological Associate to provide comprehensive psychological services within the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board. The role is focused on supporting students' well-being through therapy, assessments, and educational planning, requiring a Ph.D. and significant training in clinical psychology.

Position Type: 100% Regular (10-month work year)
Salary: Psychologist: $108,518 to $110,475 per year; Psychological Associate: $88,332 to $130,448
Under the direction of the Team Manager of Psychological Services, the Psychologist fulfills professional and legal responsibilities concerning psychological services, including diagnostic services, individual and group therapy, and system support. The role involves promoting understanding of students, modifying academic programs, developing IEPs, and determining eligibility for exceptionality designation and placement. Administrative duties and other related tasks are also part of the role.
Formal Education: Registration with the College of Psychologists in Ontario at the doctoral level, including a Ph.D. from an accredited university, preferably APA and/or CPA approved, with comprehensive knowledge of clinical psychology, research methodology, and successful completion of graduate-level courses, exams, and research. Extensive pre-doctoral clinical training, internship, and post-doctoral supervision are required, with ongoing adherence to the College's ethical standards.
Experience: Minimum of two years related experience.
Additional Skills: Ability to gather and evaluate information from various sources, analyze student behavior problems, and develop solutions. Strong oral and written communication skills, knowledge of assessment tests, research, Ontario curriculum, and legislation. Ability to establish therapeutic relationships, formulate diagnoses, and utilize computer skills. Valid Ontario Class 'G' license and use of a vehicle are required. Excellent time management, problem-solving, and workload management skills are essential.
