Qualifications

The salary range for this position is CAD $52.81/Hr. - CAD $65.96/Hr.

Come work as a Psychologist with Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH)! Vancouver Coastal Health is looking for a Psychologist (Neuropsychology) to join the Short Term Assessment & Treatment Inpatient Unit at UBC Hospital in Vancouver, BC. Apply today to join our team!

Responsibilities
  • Provide psychological services within a designated area of mental health services, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation for clients across the lifespan with neurological, medical, neurodevelopmental, psychiatric conditions, and other cognitive and learning disorders.
  • Deliver neuropsychological services in acute and ambulatory care settings, utilizing specialized knowledge in brain-behaviour relationships.
  • Complete neuropsychological assessments, psychodiagnostics, interventions, liaise with external agencies, attend clinical conferences, evaluate treatment effectiveness, maintain client records, and prepare reports.
  • Participate in quality improvement, risk management, clinical teaching, supervision, and research activities.
Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Doctoral degree in Clinical Neuropsychology.
  • At least two years of recent related experience in mental health services and clinical neuropsychology.
  • Current registration or registration within one year with the College of Psychologists of British Columbia.
Knowledge & Abilities
  • Knowledge of neurobehavioral diagnostics, assessment methods, brain-behaviour relationships, and neuropsychological practice.
  • Ability to work as part of a team, communicate effectively, work independently, provide supervision, and handle conflict and unexpected events.
  • Computer skills, including use of client care information systems.

The hours and work area may change according to operational needs. All health care workers must report their vaccination and infection history as per Ministry of Health policy.
