Responsibilities
- Provide psychological services within a designated area of mental health services, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation for clients across the lifespan with neurological, medical, neurodevelopmental, psychiatric conditions, and other cognitive and learning disorders.
- Deliver neuropsychological services in acute and ambulatory care settings, utilizing specialized knowledge in brain-behaviour relationships.
- Complete neuropsychological assessments, psychodiagnostics, interventions, liaise with external agencies, attend clinical conferences, evaluate treatment effectiveness, maintain client records, and prepare reports.
- Participate in quality improvement, risk management, clinical teaching, supervision, and research activities.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Doctoral degree in Clinical Neuropsychology.
- At least two years of recent related experience in mental health services and clinical neuropsychology.
- Current registration or registration within one year with the College of Psychologists of British Columbia.
Knowledge & Abilities
- Knowledge of neurobehavioral diagnostics, assessment methods, brain-behaviour relationships, and neuropsychological practice.
- Ability to work as part of a team, communicate effectively, work independently, provide supervision, and handle conflict and unexpected events.
- Computer skills, including use of client care information systems.
