A leading healthcare provider in Calgary seeks a Psychologist II on a temporary part-time basis. Responsibilities include delivering treatment to clients referred by Veterans' Affairs Canada and designing individualized treatment plans. Candidates must have a Master's Degree in Psychology, preferably a PhD, and registration with the College of Alberta Psychologists. Competitive pay rate between $52.34 - $69.50.

Overview

Psychologist II (2025-0618) at Carewest Innovative Health Care - Temporary Part Time (Term Ends : January 25, 2027). Location: Market Mall, OSI Clinic BW. Hours: 62.00. FTE: 0.80. Shift: Days. Shift Times: 0800-1615. Union: HSAA. Rate of Pay: $52.34 - $69.50. PCN: 10OSI025. Date Competition Closes: September 12, 2025.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver treatment services to clients referred by Veterans' Affairs Canada and Department of National Defence as part of an interdisciplinary team.
  • Administer and interpret standardized psychological assessment instruments.
  • Design individualized treatment plans based on assessed needs.
  • Deliver evidence-based psychological treatment interventions.
  • Travel may be required between Calgary, Red Deer, and other Carewest OSI sites. Other related duties as required.
Program Summary

Operational Stress Injury (OSI) Clinic – outpatient clinic funded by Veterans Affairs Canada supporting former and current Canadian Forces members and RCMP with Operational Stress Injury who require specialized assessment and treatment.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Graduated from a recognized degree program in Psychology
  • Master's Degree required; PhD preferred
  • Registration with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP)
  • Experience in delivering effective individual and group psychotherapy
  • Experience working with members of the military or police forces preferred
  • Experience in treating anxiety disorders, including PTSD, preferred
