The Cree Board of Health and Social Services of James Bay is seeking an experienced Psychoeducator to develop and evaluate programs aimed at the psycho-social rehabilitation of users. The ideal candidate will possess a master's degree in Psychoeducation, strong communications skills, and knowledge of Cree culture. Person who conceives, updates, analyzes, and evaluates programs aimed at the psycho-social rehabilitation of users.
Education: Must have a master's degree in Psychoeducation; Member in good standing of OPPQ (Ordre des psychoéducateurs et psychoéducatrices du Québec).
Experience: Two (2) years of relevant experience is an asset.
Knowledge and Abilities:
Language: Fluent in English; fluency in Cree or French is an asset.
The Cree Board of Health and Social Services of James Bay provides health and social services in the Eeyou Istchee region, a remote area in northern Quebec comprising nine Cree communities with nearly 18,000 residents. Services include front-line care in local clinics and second-line care at the regional hospital in Chisasibi. When necessary, patients are transported to institutions affiliated with McGill University's RUIS.
