Job summary

Health Match BC is seeking a full-time Psychiatrist to join a collaborative mental health community in Quesnel, BC. The role includes child & youth, general adult outpatient, inpatient, and emergency psychiatry with opportunities for virtual care and a private outpatient clinic.

You will work with another psychiatrist and have strong regional support from UHNBC in Prince George, in a beautiful rural setting ideal for meaningful patient care and a balanced lifestyle.

Qualifications

• Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning skills.
• Commitment to patient-centred care and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Experience working with community mental health teams preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide a broad psychiatry practice including child & youth, general adult outpatient, inpatient care and emergency psychiatry.
• Offer virtual care services and explore establishing a private outpatient clinic.
• Collaborate with UHNBC and local health teams to deliver comprehensive mental health care.

Role and Facility Information

We are seeking a full-time Psychiatrist to join a collaborative and well-established mental health community in Quesnel, BC. This is an excellent opportunity for a psychiatrist interested in a broad, flexible practice with strong regional support and meaningful interdisciplinary collaboration. You will work alongside another psychiatrist currently practicing in the community, with close collaboration with University Hospital of Northern British Columbia (UHNBC) in Prince George, the regional tertiary and referring centre.

This position offers a broad scope of practice with flexibility to shape your clinical interests, including:

• Child & Youth psychiatry, with opportunities for visiting services to Prince George
• General adult outpatient psychiatry
• Inpatient psychiatric care
• Emergency psychiatry
• Virtual care services
• Opportunity to establish a private outpatient clinic
