Job summary

Health Match BC is seeking a full-time Psychiatrist to join a collaborative mental health community in Quesnel, BC. This role offers a broad scope, including child & youth psychiatry, general adult outpatient care, inpatient care, emergency psychiatry, and virtual care with a potential private outpatient clinic.

You will work alongside another psychiatrist with strong regional support from UHNBC in Prince George, and you will have opportunities to shape your clinical interests in a rural setting.

Role and Facility Information

We are seeking a full-time Psychiatrist to join a collaborative and well‑established mental health community in Quesnel, BC. This is an excellent opportunity for a psychiatrist interested in a broad, flexible practice with strong regional support and meaningful interdisciplinary collaboration. You will work alongside another psychiatrist currently practicing in the community, with close collaboration with University Hospital of Northern British Columbia (UHNBC) in Prince George, the regional tertiary and referring centre.

This position offers a broad scope of practice with flexibility to shape your clinical interests, including:

  • Child & Youth psychiatry, with opportunities for visiting services to Prince George
  • General adult outpatient psychiatry
  • Inpatient psychiatric care
  • Emergency psychiatry
  • Virtual care services
  • Opportunity to establish a private outpatient clinic

  • Vacation Leave 6-8 weeks annually, including CME May be eligible for additional remuneration in accordance with the Rural Subsidiary Agreement (RSA) including: Retention Premium 14.70% Retention Flat Fee $22,781 Relocation Funding Available $9,000-$15,000 Recruitment Incentive $20,000 Other Benefits/Incentives Relocation: $15,000 if relocating from outside of Canada: $12,000 if relocating within Canada but outside of BC; $9,000 if relocating within BC.
