The Centre for Psychodynamic Insights is a virtual clinic based in Toronto, Ontario, specializing in psychodynamic psychotherapy. Our approach is rooted in evidence-based interventions and focuses on uncovering, understanding, and resolving the underlying emotions and root causes of symptoms. Through in-depth, collaborative discussions, we analyze unconscious thoughts and emotions from childhood to the present, exploring how they influence current experiences. This comprehensive approach allows us to develop targeted strategies that foster meaningful change and symptom relief. At the Centre for Psychodynamic Insights, we are committed to helping patients achieve deeper self-awareness and lasting transformation through a personalized and integrative treatment plan.
About the Position:
This role is ideal for a psychiatrist with expertise in psychodynamic or psychoanalytic therapy who values in-depth, long-term therapeutic engagement. In addition to providing comprehensive psychotherapy, you will conduct thorough psychiatric assessments, prescribe psychotropic medications when appropriate, and monitor patients’ responses and side effects over time. You will also provide psychoeducation about medication use within a psychodynamically informed treatment framework. Working virtually with adolescents and adults (16+), you will address a broad range of concerns, including trauma, neurodevelopmental conditions, personality disorders, and complex relational or sexual issues.
