Job description
Overview

We are seeking a full-time Neuropsychiatrist or General Psychiatrist with relevant training and experience to join the multidisciplinary team and oversee the 12-bed Neuropsychiatry Unit at Hillside Centre.

Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive neuropsychiatric assessments for adults with significant complexity
  • Lead the multidisciplinary team (nurses, SW, OT, PT, Psychology, Neuropsychology) and participate in treatment planning conferences
  • Participate in BC Neuropsychiatry rounds, held virtually, on a weekly basis
  • Act as a resource for referring psychiatrists/teams and support the transfer of care to partners on discharge
  • Synthesize and apply a customized biopsychosocial framework, and translate into care recommendations and plans
  • Advocate for patients supporting re-integration to their home communities
  • Participate in general psychiatry call at RIH
