Job summary

Near North District School Board is seeking an in-person Continuing Education Instructor for the Personal Support Worker (PSW) program in North Bay. The role involves classroom and practical instruction, with a 660-hour program including 330 hours of placement.

The instructor will assess learner progress, provide feedback, and ensure readiness for clinical and workplace environments, while coordinating with CESBA/MOE/MLTC standards and NNDSB requirements.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication with adult learners and healthcare students.
• Ability to manage classroom and clinical instruction in a Living Classroom setting.
• Experience using a Learning Management System (LMS) to deliver content and track progress.

Responsibilities

• Deliver PSW program content through classroom and practical demonstrations.
• Assess and provide feedback on student performance, including placement readiness.
• Coordinate with partners and attend regular team meetings.
• Maintain attendance, student files, and compliance with program standards (CESBA, MOE, MLTC, NNDSB).
• Guide students toward employment in healthcare settings.
