Job summary

Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services (CFMWS) seeks a bartender to deliver exceptional customer experiences at military events, golf and marina venues in Ontario. You will prepare beverages, manage stock, and support setup and teardown for social and military functions while ensuring compliance with liquor laws.

The role requires a high school diploma, Ontario alcohol service eligibility, and RSA certification.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and experience.
  • Must be of legal age to serve alcohol in Ontario.
  • Provincial Responsible Service of Alcohol certification required.
  • Experience in serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
  • Experience in cash handling.

Responsibilities

THE ROLE

As a Bartender, you provide an excellent customer experience in our military messes, golf and curling operations and marinas. During big events to every day moments, you will build a rapport with the military community and get to experience various military traditions. The Bartender will provide a variety of services such as preparing and serving beverages, maintaining inventory of bar stock and ordering supplies and assisting in the set-up and take down of social and military functions. You will operate a Point of Sales system, provide a clean bar area and ensure compliance with provincial liquor legislation and regulations. This is a role where everyone works as one team to provide the best customer experience for our members and contributes in creating a positive workplace. Qualifications Needed
Education, Certifications and Licenses
  • High school diploma
  • (OR An acceptable combination of education, training, and experience)
  • Must be of legal age to serve alcohol in Ontario
  • Must possess a Provincial Responsible Service of Alcohol certification
Experience
  • In serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks
  • In cash handling
Competencies
  • Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership
Language Requirements
  • English Essential / French Essential, Bilingual (English and French) an asset
  • Reading: None
  • Writing: None
  • Oral: Functional

Perform moderate lifting, carrying, pulling and/or pushing (i.e. more than 10 lbs/4.5 kg but less than 50 lbs/23 kg). This is an on-site position with an assigned work location.
