Our Client, a manufacturing conglomerate, is looking for a Prototype Assembler for their Cambridge, ON location.
Responsibilities:
- Use documented work instructions (DWIs), Cambridge Specific Procedures (CSPs), pick lists and bill of materials, for light assemblies and wiring (direct wire, sub-assemblies), across all product lines.
- Sometimes required to read basic and generic mechanical and electrical drawings (point-to-point, wiring diagrams, schematics, drawings).
- Troubleshoot assembly problems and issues and completion of minimal wiring procedures.
- Accurately report task and times in Factory Talk Production Centre (FTPC) related to work orders and Critical to Quality (CTQ’s).
- Flexibility and adaptability to assume other roles and support other job families as required.
- May be required to assist, instruct and provide training to other employees.
- Participates in activities to increase job knowledge, including required training and certifications, job rotation programs and training and coaching of other employees.
- Participate in Behavioural Based Safety Training and contribute to the program.
- Participate in LEAN/Six Sigma Training and contribute to and make recommendations for process improvements and LEAN activities.
- Performs work in accordance with job -specific training procedures, follows work aids (DWIs, prints etc.,) and produces work that consistently meets quality standards.
- Ensure tasks are conducted in accordance with applicable employment, environmental, health, safety, quality, and legislation and or regulations (federal, provincial, ISO 14001, ISO 9001, etc.), as well as client policies and procedures, 5S requirements and standards of business conduct.
- Creates an optimal work environment by establishing and maintaining positive and respectful work relationships.

Requirements:- Mechanical aptitude
- Problem solving
- Reading and understanding written instructions, i.e., CSPs and DWIs
- Utilizing a computer to view, log, and/or find appropriate job-related information, i.e., SAP, FTPC
- Safe use of manual tools and, power tools and machinery
- Demonstrate proficiency of assigned tasks, duties, and responsibilities required to achieve customer satisfaction, including but not limited to SAP, Factory Talk and Kronos.
- Demonstrated skill and proficiency (productivity, quality and safety) in all areas of MVB.
- 1 Year Related Experience
- High School Education/GED
- Internal wiring course
