Job summary

Gordon Food Service Canada is seeking a sales-support professional to provide protein knowledge and guidance to the sales team. The role focuses on executing category plans to hit volume and profit targets in alignment with division strategies.

The position involves interfacing with customers, brokers and vendors, delivering consultative selling, analyzing market data, and supporting training initiatives to drive category goals. A valid driver’s license and travel are required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in product, marketing, or internal sales (or 6+ years in lieu of a bachelor)
• Bachelor degree preferred in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field
• Must have valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally and some international travel

Responsibilities

• Interface with customers, brokers, and vendors to achieve sales and margin goals
• Provide consultative selling on product category with District Sales Representatives
• Analyze reports to understand market KPIs and category impact
• Develop action plans to achieve category goals for the assigned region
• Develop training modules for product training and education
