Job summary

Gandeeva Therapeutics Inc. in Metro Vancouver seeks a Scientist I, Protein Biophysics and Biochemistry to advance our protein science efforts.

You will develop biochemical and biophysical assays, screen compounds, and execute gene-to-protein workflows to express and characterize challenging targets. The role emphasizes expertise in SPR, BLI, DSF, and related methods, with opportunities to contribute to cryo-EM support and technologies that boost discovery pipelines.

Qualifications

Experience designing and executing biochemical and biophysical assays to study protein targets.
Proficiency in expressing, purifying, and characterizing challenging proteins.
Familiarity with recombinant DNA techniques and expression construct optimization.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement assays (biochemical/biophysical) to study target proteins and binding.
Screen compounds in optimized assays to identify hits for development.
Express, purify, and characterize proteins from various systems.
Advance screening and discovery workflows through methodological development.
Support cryo-EM specimen preparation and data collection as needed.
