Job summary

York University’s Advancement and Alumni Engagement, Schulich School of Business, is seeking a Prospect Research Assistant to support identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of alumni, friends, corporations, and foundations by conducting prospect research and analysis. The role reports to the Director, Major Gifts and Campaign.

Education required is a university degree, with one year of related experience; familiarity with MS Office and CRM platforms is expected.

Qualifications

  • University degree in a related field is required.
  • One year of recent experience in prospect or market research.
  • Experience in a non-profit/fundraising environment is an asset.
  • Strong research, communication, and analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct prospect research and analysis to support fundraising efforts.
  • Identify alumni, friends, corporations, and foundations for engagement.
  • Assist with cultivation and stewardship communications and reporting.

Purpose:

Reporting to the Director, Major Gifts and Campaign, the Prospect Research Assistant provides support to aid in the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of Schulich alumni, friends, corporations, and foundations by conducting prospect research and analysis.

Education:

Completion of a University degree in a related field.

Experience:

One year recent and related experience conducting prospect or marketing research. Experience in a non-profit and/or fundraising environment is an asset.
