Proposal Writer

Harbinger has partnered with an industry leader in ICI Construction. We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Proposal Writer to join our team in Kitchener, Ontario. This dynamic role combines technical writing with content creation and social media management. You'll play a vital part in developing compelling construction proposals, managing brand communications, and supporting marketing and outreach initiatives. This role is onsite, at the Head office located in Kitchener.

Key Responsibilities:

Proposal Writing

• Develop persuasive and customized construction proposals for businesses, municipalities, and institutional clients.

• Ensure proposals meet all technical and compliance requirements while clearly communicating value and differentiators.

Content Creation & Digital Media

• Create, manage, and publish content across various platforms, including social media, website, and newsletters.

• Maintain brand voice and messaging consistency across all communication channels.

• Design engaging PowerPoint presentations for internal and external stakeholders.

Social Media Management

• Regularly update and maintain social media profiles including Instagram, Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), LinkedIn, TikTok, and YouTube.

• Monitor and analyze social media metrics to optimize content strategy and engagement.

Site Visits & Media Capture

• Visit construction sites to capture high-quality photos, video content, and manage long-exposure time-lapse recordings.

• Ensure on-site content aligns with marketing goals and visual storytelling standards.

Community Engagement & Internal Support

• Write professional outreach emails to build and maintain relationships with the local community.

• Assist in planning and executing internal events that promote company culture and engagement.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field preferred.

• Proven experience in proposal writing, content creation, and social media management.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with keen attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially PowerPoint.

• Familiarity with design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite or Canva.

• Knowledge of social media analytics and scheduling tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Later).

• Willingness to travel to local construction sites for content development.
