Job Description

Responsible for managing the bidding process for large, complex issues including IT services, solutions, design, or manufacturing services. Project manages the bidding process from initial contact through contract signing, with a focus on establishing trading terms. Validates and endorses the technical solution and signs off on bids and proposals at the highest authority levels.

You will lead a geographical region, supporting distributors, end customers, integrators, and contractors by providing support and pricing strategies for Intelligent Device products and services (MV MCC, MV Drives, LV MCC, and Engineered Water). This involves coordinating ITD Business Unit products with third-party power and packaging equipment, including e-scada systems. Your role includes assisting distributors with technical builds, working with the Proposal Development Team, participating in WIN Strategy Calls, PARB calls, Pricing Agreements, and Forecasting. You will manage the ITD Business commercial offers for your region and report to the Regional Proposal Team Lead.

Your Responsibilities:
  1. Plan and delegate tasks to meet customer timelines for project pursuits, including managing requests and pricing submissions.
  2. Collaborate with sales and channel partners to strategize on opportunities and improve success rates.
  3. Contribute to training programs for channel teams and distributor specialists to handle standard quotes, reserving complex cases for the Proposal Development Team.
  4. Ensure the successful outcome of assigned projects.
  5. Lead cross-functional engagement with Proposal Specialists, Proposal Development Team, Sales, Channel Partners, Business Units, and Legal teams.
  6. Use commercial and technical skills to maximize profit and growth, negotiating pricing and obtaining necessary approvals.
  7. Maintain compliance with corporate policies, participate in PARB approval meetings, and prepare risk analysis documentation.
  8. Keep business tools updated, report on activities, and communicate with customers during project execution.
  9. Engage in continuous improvement through feedback, training, and skill development.
  10. Build relationships with partners and integrators for successful solutions integration.
  11. Become the regional expert in Low Voltage Motor Control Centers, Medium Voltage Drives, and Engineered Water Configured Low Voltage Drives.
  12. Support distributors with proposals, instilling confidence in solutions.
  13. Apply engineering knowledge to qualify opportunities and foster trust in our solutions, leveraging product synergies internally.
  14. Follow all applicable policies and regulations.
The Essentials - You Will Have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
  • 5+ years of experience with electrical systems and installation
  • Experience with prefabricated modular buildings, single line diagrams, motors, switchgear, transformers, and PLCs
  • Experience with Packaged Power Systems
  • Strong technical communication and documentation skills
  • Knowledge of industrial products and applications
  • Previous sales experience
  • Project management skills
