Hybrid schedule - 3 days in office

The Pursuit Manager leads and manages proposals through the full lifecycle, ensuring that proposals are completed in an efficient, consistent, and professional manner. This will often involve liaising with our other Canadian and global offices.

This role will act as an advocate of best practice and a specialist information resource, working with fee earners across practice areas and sectors to leverage experience and respond to clients consistently.

You will be focusing on

  • Manage and lead the entire pursuit process for major opportunities from key clients and new business prospects.
  • Obtain scope of proposal from lawyers, draft, edit, proof, and obtain sign-off for submission following protocols and standards.
  • Develop and manage relationships with practice areas and sector teams.
  • Recommend and apply appropriate structure and presentation for client responses.
  • Prepare preliminary bids, collect credentials, and manage standard content.
  • Create, source, and develop high-quality proposal materials.
  • Research market, industry, and competitive information for successful pitches.
  • Review proposal templates and content regularly to ensure best practices.
  • Monitor use of proposal templates, maintaining brand guidelines.
  • Provide presentation coaching for lawyers.
  • Assist global offices with proposals involving Canada.
  • Conduct debriefs on proposal performance and improve future responses.
  • Support directory and award submissions, and matter collection.
  • Update and maintain proposal tracking systems, precedents, and materials.
  • Distribute finalized proposal content to relevant mediums and stakeholders.
  • Assist with reports including strategic management reports.

What You Bring To The Role

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or business is an asset.
  • 5-7 years of experience in marketing, business development, or related roles.
  • Self-starter with proactive approach and initiative.
  • Experience in proposals or similar in a legal services firm preferred.
  • Strong research, writing, proofreading skills, and attention to detail.
  • Creative and layout design skills.
  • Advanced IT skills, especially in Word and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong project management skills, ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Positive attitude and confident relationship-building skills.

Vancouver Salary : $84,665 - $120,540. Salary discussed during interview, based on experience.
