Job description

Thurber has an exciting opportunity for a Proposal Coordinator to join our team in Calgary, Alberta.

Thurber provides geotechnical, environmental, and construction materials engineering and testing services for a variety of industries across Canada. Our multidisciplinary expertise allows us to work on problems related to earth, the environment, and construction materials. We solve problems in a wide variety of industries including transportation, building construction, municipal infrastructure, land development, dams and water resources, industrial development, mining, oil and gas, marine, and environmental services.

Responsibilities

Proposals
  • Create professional documents following Thurber branding guidelines for proposals, utilizing both Word and InDesign;
  • Support medium and large-scale pursuits by developing draft proposals, facilitating proposal reviews, formatting and assembling proposal submissions, and providing quality review to ensure RFP (Request for Proposal) compliance;
  • Maintain branch project profile library, including interviewing project leaders and writing project summaries for major projects;
  • Help develop and maintain proposal content library.
Communications and Marketing
  • Manage branch intranet page, creating, maintaining, and updating branch pages navigation and content;
  • Develop marketing materials including brochures, flat sheets, and presentations;
  • Support Corporate Marketing and Communications Lead as needs arise;
  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Degree in English, Communications, Marketing, or equivalent;
  • Strong accuracy and attention to detail is required;
  • 3+ years of proven experience in communications or marketing;
  • Excellent English writing and editing skills;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams;
  • Adobe Illustrator and InDesign experience is an asset.
