About Our Client

Our client is a reputable Healthcare leader in healthcare, research, innovation and education throughout the GTA.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:



  • Facility Operations & Maintenance:


    • Oversee day-to-day operations of hospital buildings, outpatient clinics, and administrative facilities.


    • Ensure preventative and corrective maintenance is performed on schedule.


    • Coordinate with biomedical, IT, and clinical engineering departments to support specialized healthcare infrastructure.


  • Property & Lease Management:


    • Manage leases for owned and rented healthcare properties.


    • Maintain records of occupancy, contracts, and regulatory requirements.


    • Serve as the point of contact for property-related issues with landlords or tenants.


  • Compliance & Safety:


    • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations (e.g., Joint Commission, OSHA, ADA, fire codes).


    • Work closely with Infection Control and Risk Management to ensure environmental safety standards are met.


    • Lead or support audits, inspections, and emergency preparedness efforts.


  • Vendor & Contractor Oversight:


    • Manage third-party vendors (e.g., cleaning, landscaping, security, HVAC, elevator maintenance).


    • Negotiate service contracts and monitor vendor performance.


  • Budget & Financial Management:


    • Develop and manage property operations budgets, including capital projects.


    • Monitor expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or compliance.


  • Project Coordination:


    • Assist in planning and executing renovation, construction, or expansion projects.


    • Coordinate with architects, contractors, and internal stakeholders during project lifecycles.


  • Stakeholder Engagement:


    • Serve as the liaison between facilities and clinical/administrative departments.


    • Respond to facility-related service requests and issues promptly.

The Successful Applicant



  • Education:


    • Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Real Estate, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.


    • Certification in property/facility management (e.g., CPM, FMP, CHFM) is a plus.


  • Experience:


    • Minimum 5-10 years of property or facilities management experience, preferably in a healthcare or hospital environment.


    • Knowledge of healthcare regulations and building systems required.


  • Skills:


    • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.


    • Proficient in property management software and Microsoft Office Suite.


    • Ability to manage multiple properties and priorities in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
