Job Overview:

As a Property Maintenance Worker at Hanlyn, you will be providing lawn care, common area cleaning and garbage services as well as conducting monthly fire equipment testing and inspections in our mid-size buildings under management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lawn cutting at select properties
  • Transporting the garbage and recycling to and from the garbage area and curb on the appropriate day of collection
  • Cleaning the common areas at select properties
  • Testing the common area fire alarms monthly
  • Inspecting the common area fire extinguishers monthly
  • Inspecting the fire alarm systems power supply monthly
  • Sending notices to tenants to notify them of all monthly fire alarm testing dates
  • Maintaining accurate records of fire equipment testing and inspections
  • Conducting other maintenance duties as required

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in property maintenance or a related field is preferred
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Reliable and self-motivated with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing maintenance needs
  • Good communication skills for reporting issues or providing updates to management
  • Strong work ethic
  • Class G license with clean drivers abstract
  • The ability to lift and move larger objects like a lawn mower
