We are currently seeking an experienced Property Controller with strong Yardi expertise and a proven background in leading accounting teams. If you're a hands-on financial leader with a passion for people, systems, and property, we want to hear from you.

• Lead and manage a team of property accountants, providing mentorship, training, and performance oversight
• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations for a large portfolio of multi-residential rental properties across Alberta
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, including month-end and year-end processes
• Prepare and review budgets, forecasts, and financial statements
• Managing Ownership relationships with weekly/monthly meetings as requested by owners
• Prepare ownership funding requests and distributions
• Liaise and provide back-up to external broker and RECA as required
• Conduct appropriate analysis of the ledger, financial reports and job costing for several different ownership groups
• Provide operating and field personnel with strong financial management support on an ongoing basis
• Preparing Annual CAM reconciliations for commercial properties
• Conduct variance analysis and present results to ownership and senior management
• Ensure all accounting procedures are compliant with internal policies and regulatory requirements
• Maintain and optimize accounting workflows in Yardi Voyager or Yardi Breeze Premier
• Liaise with property managers, corporate controller, and executive leadership to support operational and financial performance
• Coordinate with external auditors and third-party stakeholders when required

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or equivalent designation strongly preferred)
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in the multi-residential property management sector
• 3+ years of team management or supervisory experience in an accounting function
• Advanced proficiency with Yardi is required
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and deadline-driven environment
