Property Claims Examiners - Full Time, Remote (Anywhere in Canada)

International Programs Group (IPG) is an independent third-party administration (TPA) team providing claims services for Lloyd's of London syndicates, domestic insurers, self-insured entities, and organizations with high financial retentions.

We are seeking Property Claims Examiners to join our growing team!

The successful candidates will be part of a dynamic team that provides quality service to internal and external clients. They will display excellent customer service skills and will be a key contributor to the success of the organization by providing knowledgeable, detailed, and timely service. Utilizing a ‘desktop’ model, IPG examiners manage claims from start to finish. This hands-on approach ensures that the claim is handled properly and helps offset third-party adjusting costs.

Although intended to be a remote work opportunity, this position may require attendance at the office for training, client meetings, or team meetings with ample notification.

Responsibilities :

  1. Examine moderate to intermediate complex property claims
  2. Produce reports with occasional guidance from Manager
  3. Direct Field Adjusters on task assignment investigations
  4. Settle claims directly with Insureds or their representatives
  5. Administer claims payments / settlements through trust accounts
  6. Liaise with all stakeholders to ensure clients' needs are met
  7. Report back to the syndicate or self-insured according to their guidelines

Qualifications & Experience :

While licensing and experience are critical to handling significant examining tasks for a TPA, we are looking for individuals with a demonstrated and proven track record of performance. You should be strong technically, a solid planner and organizer, and able to understand key issues and provide solid solutions. Motivation and enthusiasm for this work are essential, especially given the challenges faced by our rapidly growing organization.

We will also consider the following :

  • Your education, with relevant post-secondary education being an asset
  • Your completed CIP courses or progress towards CIP designation
  • Your ability to hold an independent adjusting license
  • Your 3-7 years' experience in relevant claims adjusting and/or examining work
  • Exposure to the Lloyd's market would be an asset
  • Your experience contributing to a high-performing team
  • Your aptitude and ability to work with technology
  • Your attention to detail and professional communication skills

What We Offer :

  • Competitive Pay
  • Work-Life Balance
  • E-flex Benefits Program
  • Wellness Programs
  • Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP), including a 2% match for full-time employees
  • Training and Career Development Opportunities
  • Employee Referral Bonuses
  • Employee Recognition Program
  • Employee Perks (access to vendor discount programs)
  • Reimbursement for Adjusting Licenses and Dues
