Job Responsibilities
  1. Investigate new residential and commercial property claims.
  2. Make coverage opinions and decisions based on client needs.
  3. Evaluate and negotiate settlements for property damage and liability losses.
  4. Manage outside partners, experts, and contractors.
  5. Contact insureds and claimants within established protocols.
  6. Identify coverage issues and escalate as needed.
  7. Develop understanding of liability and coverage principles.
  8. Ensure compliance with state-specific laws and regulations.
  9. Research market values for properties.
  10. Summarize claims and recommend dispositions exceeding settlement authority.
  11. Respond to time-sensitive materials and inquiries.
  12. Manage claim review systems to meet deadlines.
  13. Maintain licenses through continuing education and pursue claims designations.
  14. Handle small claim suits as necessary.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
  • 1-5 years of experience as a residential and commercial loss adjuster or similar role.
Computer Skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Xactimate and XactAnalysis experience preferred.
Competencies
  • Willingness to travel.

  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
