Allied is looking for a Property Accountant to join our CPA Pre-approved Program.

At Allied, everything starts with purpose. In the role of Property Accountant, you will manage the full accounting cycle of a portfolio of commercial properties. This, in turn, allows Allied to make financial decisions that benefit our communities with accuracy and efficiency.

What will you do?
  • Manage the full accounting cycle of a portfolio of properties, including preparing journal entries, monthly operating costs, and tax recovery estimates.
  • Review and analyze financial statements, balance sheets, and recovery ratios to provide variance analysis.
  • Prepare final annual operating costs and tax recovery adjustments, including preparing CAM audit statements and assisting with property tax appeals.
  • Provide information for audit-related queries and property appraisers and ensure that monthly reporting deadlines are met.
  • Support our Finance team in the completion of annual budget and special projects.
What are we looking for?
  • Active pursuit of the CPA designation.
  • University degree or equivalent.
  • Strong interest in the field of commercial real estate, accounting & finance.
  • An assertive self-starter with the ability to work independently or under supervision.
  • A collaborative worker and effective team player.
  • Good judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Resilience, passion, and a commitment to deliver and be accountable for the results.
  • Analytical and critical thinker.
  • Effective communicator, both verbally and in writing.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Bilingual (French and English) would be an asset.
