Dream is looking for a Property Accountant on an 17-month Contract!

We are always looking for the best and brightest to join our thriving community. Dream’s Property Accounting team is currently looking for an Accountant to manage a portfolio of properties within the department, who will work on an 17-month contract.

What will you do?

Below are some of the primary responsibilities you will be taking on in this role :

• Complete monthly, quarterly, and yearly preparation & reporting of property financials including balance sheet, income statement, capital expenditures and leasing costs, annual operating cost recoveries, accounts receivable and bad debts / provisions
• Prepare monthly property-level financial analysis for the property managers
• Prepare revenue analysis and review for respective portfolio
• Complete recovery ratio analysis and provide commentary
• Participate in monthly operational / financial review meetings
• Review, analyze and process property budgets

What type of experience do you have?

These are some of the things we would like you to bring to the table :

• At least 3+ years’ direct property accounting experience in Commercial Property Management and lease commercial property accounting
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to deliver against tight deadlines
• Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Strong people skills with ability to build relationships at all levels of an organization

It is considered an asset if you have experience in the following areas :

• Experience with Canadian portfolios
• CPA designation or in progress or completing
• Experience working in MRI
