Position Summary

We are searching for an independent and detail-oriented person to join Cansel as a property Accountant, this person will report to the Controller, provide support to the property accounting team in the preparation of financial reporting and providing a good technical accounting expertise.

In this role, you will...

• You would be the key contact with residential building managers to help with collections across the country
• Responsible for recording, verifying and reconciling rent payments.
• Reviewing Leases and rent rolls
• Setting up tenants, vendors in accounting system
• Process payable
• Preparing reconciliations, updating financial schedules
• Assist with year-end financials and GST returns
• Filing Documents and other work as assigned
  
  

About You...

• 1-3 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping ( A/R, A/P and GL ), ideally in a property management /development project context
• Aptitude for office administration (filing, light office duties as required)
• Close attention to detail and solid organizational skills
• Excellent verbal, phone, and email communication
• Familiar with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook and ability to maintain and organize data records
• Autonomous, friendly, handles fast-paced environments well
