Job summary

Europro is seeking an experienced Property Accountant to join our accounting team at our corporate office in Toronto. The successful candidate will handle month-end close, prepare quarterly reporting packages, perform reconciliations and assist with annual budgets in a real estate environment.

The role requires post-secondary accounting education with a professional designation or enrollment, 2–3 years of property accounting experience, strong Excel/Word skills, and familiarity with accounting

Qualifications

• Post-secondary accounting education and professional designation (CPA/CA/CGA/CMA) or enrollment is an asset.
• 2-3 years property accounting experience.
• Strong attention to detail with ability to organize/manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Good communication skills with ability to write detailed reports and communicate with property management.
• Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Excel, Microsoft Word and accounting software packages.
• Experience in real estate accounting is an asset.
• Knowledge of Yardi Voyager is a major asset.

• Intercompany Charge Backs
• HST Reconciliations
• Bank Reconciliations
• Preparation of Annual Budget
• Preparation of CAM and Tax Billings
• Preparation of Tenant/Vendor Chargebacks as needed
• Liaise with Property Managers and Asset Managers
• Review invoices and coding of expenses for accuracy
• Cash flow management and cash distributions when required
