Job summary

Spring Valley Building Centre Ltd. in Prince Edward Island is seeking a permanent, full-time Propane Sales & Service Associate to assist customers, market propane, and ensure safe dispensing and hauling.

The role includes on-site tank filling, logging shipments, and complying with regulations while delivering excellent customer service. The successful candidate will perform vehicle loading/unloading across the Island, inspect propane equipment, and maintain logs, with training and licensing

Qualifications

• Must hold Propane Dispensing License.
• Must hold Propane Hauling License.
• Training and licensing opportunities available.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with product information and service.
• Market propane to customers and prospects.
• Follow regulations for dispensing/hauling propane.
• Fill propane tanks on-site (20lb–100lb) for delivery.
• Maintain shipment logs and complete daily invoices/reports.
• Perform visual inspection of propane equipment.
• Comply with road rules, company policies, and procedures.
• Load/unload propane tanks to various locations across the Island.
• Report accidents, traffic violations, and vehicle damage.

Job description

We are currently accepting applications for the permanent, full time position of Propane Sales & Service Associate for Spring Valley Building Centre.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist customers by providing product information & excellent customer service
• Actively contact customers and prospects to market propane
• Follow all guidelines and regulations for dispensing and/or hauling propane
• Fill propane tanks ranging from 20lbs to 100lbs, on site to be delivered
• Maintain logs with shipments, complete daily invoices & reports
• Perform visual inspection of propane equipment
• Comply with road rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking) as well as with company policies and procedures
• Load, transport and unload propane tanks to various locations across the Island
• Report all accidents, traffic violations, and damage to vehicles
• Additional duties as assigned.

Training and experience:

• Propane Dispensing License
• Propane Hauling License
