Overview

Promotions Coordinator — We are seeking a Promotions Coordinator to support our Corporate Purchasing team, located in our Vernon, BC Head Office.

This dynamic role is responsible for coordinating, organizing and executing Nature’s Fare Co-Op Marketing promotional plans, the bi-weekly sales flyer, and the product Demo program. A critical component of this role is to connect, coordinate and align the Category Managers, Marketing team and Vendor partners to ensure the successful execution of promotional strategies. Direct support and adaptability to the needs of the Category Managers is a key function of this role.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and execute the Co-Op program in collaboration with the Category Managers, Marketing and Director of Purchasing.
  • Manage advertisement commitments and selections for all participating brands/vendors.
  • Maintain governance of procedures and timelines to ensure deadlines are met and best practices are considered.
  • Manage the allocations of approved flyer advertisements.
  • Manage discounts negotiated with brands/vendors and collaborate with Category Managers to set sale prices.
  • Coordinate and execute Vendor flyers, sale events and other one-off sales with any active or upcoming promotions.
  • Coordinate and execute the Demo program in collaboration with the Category Managers.
  • Manage demo events with both participating vendors and stores.
  • Maintain governance of procedures and timelines to ensure deadlines are met and best practices are considered.
  • Manage discounts negotiated with brands/vendors and collaborate with Category Managers to set sale prices.
  • Learn and maintain different systems that support operational functions, such as an ERP, marketing planning system, and a workflow management system (Jira).
  • Aggregate data and execute reporting and analytics for sale performance.
  • Quarterly reporting and communication on Co-Op performance, including brand/vendor analysis and identifying sales performance and Co-Op commitment successes/shortcomings.
  • Manage the performance of approved flyer advertisements and investigate products that perform well or poorly during a sale period, providing insight into the reasons for performance.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 - 3 years’ experience in a highly detailed planning and administration role, with extra points for CPG experience in a natural channel
  • Experience with an ERP system
  • Comprehensive knowledge of MS Office Suite (Intermediate to Advanced Excel is a must)
  • Strong planning skills with experience collecting, organizing, analyzing and disseminating a large amount of information with accuracy
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Post secondary education preferred - equivalent experience considered
